Laughing Gas Comedy Improv Theatre Company brings over a month
of twice the entertainment to Miami Lakes.
Known for its shows on Friday and Saturdays at 11 p.m. at the
Main Street Playhouse, 9 p.m. shows have been added during July.
Tickets are $10 with no drink minimum or age requirements.
There are different themes for each week and tons of laughter
from some of South Florida's most improvised comedians. The themes
include:
July 6-7 - "Spaced Out" - It's the 60th anniversary
of the Roswell crash. In a night of conspiracies and aliens, Laughing
Gas will have the audience laughing so hard they won't believe
what they see either. All "legal aliens" gets in 2-for-1
with proof. All space aliens get in free, with proof.
July 13 - "Get Lucky on Friday the 13th!" Audience members
that proclaim that they are getting lucky tonight will get in
2-for-1.
July 14 - "The French are Revolting" - Celebrating Bastille
Day. Couples who prove their Frenchness in some way, shape or
form, will get in 2-for-1.
July 20-21 - "One Giant Laugh for Mankind" celebrates
man's first visit to the moon. Man first landed on the moon on
July 20, and Neil Armstrong took his first step on July 21, 1969.
Anyone moonwalking at the door gets in 2-for-1.
July 27-28 - "Yo Vivo en Miami" - July 28 is the 106th
anniversary of the incorporation of Miami. Each night will feature
a celebration of the Miami home town in ways that only a comedy
troupe could offer. Couple that were actually born in Miami get
in 2-for-1.
Laughing Gas can be seen at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main
Street in Miami Lakes. Curtain times during July are 9 and 11
