Top Picks: Bacon Tastes Good
BY LYSSA OBERKRESER
Although no one is really as close to Kevin Bacon as the lovely Kyra Sedgwick, 172,390 people can claim they are two degrees away from the prolific actor, according to the Oracle of Bacon database (www.cs.virginia.edu/oracle). From his fist-pumping dance routine in Footloose to exposing his sausage in Wild Things to creeping the heck out of us in The Woodsman, Bacon has just the right mix of talent, attitude, and sex appeal to attract men and women (and the boys on Will & Grace). In celebration of the hunk’s 48th birthday, Laughing Gas Improv presents a special “Six Degrees Improv.”
“I found out that I was a two!” gushes Laughing Gas cast member
and cheerleader Todd Rice. (Rice was an extra in The Fugitive
with Tommy Lee Jones, and Jones was in JFK with Bacon.) “And then
I found out that several other actors in the cast were twos. So
cool!” Join the Bacon community at 11:00 at the Main Street Playhouse.
Admission is ten dollars; free for Kevin Bacon. Call 305-461-1161,
