Laughing Gas to Help the Helldorados Rock Tsunami Relief

The Laughing Gas Comedy Improv Theatre Company, announces that they will help a rock and roll Tsunami Relief Aid benefit held by the Helldorados on Saturday, February 5th at "Luke's Place" in Davie.

As part of South Florida's longest-running improv troupes continuing effort at "Improv-ing the Community", Laughing Gas is proud to help any way they can in this noble cause. The show takes place from 12-9 pm at Luke's Place at 3558 S. University Drive in Davie.

Live musical performances will include The Helldorados, The Numb ones, Albert Castiglia Band, Sonnie and the Road Kings, Odd Man Out, Brian Ricci and potentially others to be announced.

BIG 105.9 FM will be on hand with gifts, prizes and the BIG 105.9 van. Exotic motorcycles from "Bourget's Bike Works" and "Custom Bikes" of Ft. Lauderdale will be on display and audience members can enter raffles to win an electric guitar, certificates to restaurants and salons, T-shirts, a book about improv signed by the entire cast of Laughing Gas with 2 tickets to see a Laughing Gas show, and a variety of other prizes donated by local businesses.

All cash and proceeds for the event are to benefit the Red Cross for Tsunami Relief Aid.

"We have been looking for a way to do our part to help in this time of need," said Gerald Owens, the Director of Laughing Gas. "We're just happy to be doing our part to help this event and hope that we can help the Helldorados make it a success."

Over the past several months, Laughing Gas has performed shows to "Improv The Vote", lampooned pop-culture and helped with their "Improv-ing The Community" campaign raising money for charities. Already having been picked a Social Miami "Pick of the Week" several times for their themed shows and regularly being recognized for socially relevant material, Laughing Gas was also recently honored as Best Short-Form Improv Troupe at this years Improv Miami Prizes 2004.

Laughing Gas continues to have socially relevant shows in February with their "Stupor Bowl: Isn't Beating an Eagle Un-Patriotic?" on February 4th-5th and "The Love Barge - Powered By Laughing Gas" on February 11th-12th.

Laughing Gas is South Florida's longest-running professional improv theater company and can be seen on Fridays and Saturdays at the Main Street Playhouse, located at 6766 Main Street in Miami Lakes.
