Laughing Gas Improv adds February shows on Main Street
Laughing Gas Comedy Improv Theatre Company is continuing to present
two shows per weekend in Miami Lakes and have added a special
Velentine's Day show.
During February, the troupe performs at 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays,
at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street. Admission is $10
per person, and there is no age restriction and no drink minimum.
Shows run about 90 minutes and each performance reflects the news
and events of the wek, with titles and content always subject
to change. The topics include politics, popular culture, family
values, social issues and more in a series of improvised sketches
and musical numbers.
For the weekend of February 4 and 5, the theme for the shows is
"The Stupor Bowl: Isn't Beating an Eagle Unpatriotic?"
February 11 and 12, Valentine's weekend, the shows are themed
"The Love Barge - Powered by Laughing Gas."
On Valentine's Day, Monday, February 14, there will be an 8pm
show, with "loving couples" admitted to-for-the-price-of-one.
The show is themed "The Love Barge: Exciting and new!"
"These days it's important that we all learn to love a little
bit more," said Laughing Gas Director Gerald Owens. "If
getting to laugh at half-price will help people to love a little
more on Valentine's Day, we'll consider our work done."
