Laughing Gas Comedy Improv Theatre Company wraps up the year and
the holiday season with one special show Thursday, December 22,
8 p.m., in the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street. This will
be the troupe's only Miami Lakes show in December.
During the second annual "'Twas the night before the night
before the night before Christmas" show, audience members
can join in the fun.
"There's no party like an improv party," said Gerald
Owens, director of Laughing Gas. "We hope that our audiences
will come out and enjoy."
"It's a special Christmas show with special pieces at special
times for our special audiences," added cast member Todd
Rice. "Let's face it. It's special."
Admission is $10 per person, with no age restriction and no drink
minimum. Gift certificates for half-price tickets will be available
that evening.
Laughing Gas launches its 14th season the weekend of January 6
and 7, and resumes its weekly performances at 11 p.m. on Friday
and Saturday.
Shows run about 90 minutes, and each performance reflects the
news and events of the week, with titles and content always subject
to change. The topics include politics, popular culture, family
values, social issues and more in a series of improvised sketches
and musical numbers.
