Laughing Gas Presents a special "six degrees improv" tribute to birthday-boy Kevin Bacon Saturday July 8th

The Laughing Gas Comedy Improv Theatre Company, South Florida's longest running professional improv troupe brings you a night of "six degrees" mayhem in honor of Kevin Bacon. "Six Degrees Improv" will feature 90 minutes of improvised comedy that will have you telling friends, that will tell friends, that will tell friends...to the sixth power! Showtime is 11pm on Saturday July 8th at the Main Street Playhouse in Miami Lakes. Tickets are $10 with no drink minimum or age requirements.

Director Gerald Owens and cast members James Carrey, Todd Rice, Ethan Smith, and Valerie Zach all have a "Kevin Bacon score" of 2. Owens appeared in the soon to be released Lonely Hearts with John Doman who was in Mystic River with Kevin Bacon. Carrey appeared in Thanks to Gravity with Sean Astin who was in White Water Summer with Kevin Bacon. Rice appeared uncredited in the Fugitive with Tommy Lee Jones who was in JFK with Kevin Bacon. Ethan Smith and Valerie Zach were in Natale a Miami with Marc Macaulay who was in Wild Things with Kevin Bacon.

"I appear in a lot of independent features down here," said Rice. "I'm not sure how to break it to everyone I work with that they are now a '3'!"

"Sadly, I haven't appeared on camera with any of the other Laughing Gassers yet," continued Rice. "But thanks to Kevin Bacon, we're all still connected. With most everyone else in the cast, our score for each other is a '4'."

The evening will also feature a birthday card to Kevin Bacon that will be passed around the audience with everyone signing it one further step away from Kevin Bacon.

Laughing Gas provides family-friendly laughter, this week providing a link for everyone in the audience to Kevin Bacon.
